Si diploma presso il Conservatorio “C. Monteverdi” di Bolzano proseguendo all’Accademia di Imola, perfezionandosi con grandi concertisti quali Scala, Berman, Lonquich…
Al suo attivo una rilevante attività concertistica in Italia e all’estero. Collabora con strumentisti tra cui B. Huang, A. Martini, M. Fornaciari, A. Griminelli, S. Ganassi, M. Belli, U. Ughi e molti altri.
Nel 2006 ha esordito presso la Gasteig Philarmonie Saal e il Theatre der Jugend a Monaco di Baviera, insieme a M. Argerich, R. Shchedrin etc.
Nel 2012 si esibisce coi Virtuosi Italiani nella sala Maffeiana di Verona dando il via ad una collaborazione che ha portato a importanti tappe nella tournée in Russia nel 2014.
Il 2015 si distingue per la collaborazione con l’Ensemble Berlin – I solisti dei Berliner Philharmoniker che li ha visti esibirsi al Festival “Da Bach a Bartok” e al “Festival dei pianisti Italiani”. Nel 2016 sarà in tournée con I Virtuosi Italiani e registrerà un CD-DVD con la Camerata RCO Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra per Limen music.
Il 2017 prevede diversi impegni fra cui Histoire di soldat con B. Servillo e una tournée con l’orchestra dei Wiener Konzertverein che culminerà al Musikverein di Vienna.
Dal 2013 è diventato parte della famiglia degli artisti Steinway. Marcello Mazzoni è docente di pianoforte presso l’Istituto “A. Peri”, membro del C.D.I. del Teatro Valli, direttore artistico della stagione “Incontro alla Musica” presso il teatro Cavallerizza di Reggio Emilia e del “Festival dei Pianisti Italiani” nella stessa città.

Graduated at Monteverdi’s Conservatory in Bolzano and continued his intensive studies at Imola Accademy with renowed pianists as Scala, Berman, Lonquich. He has given recitals and concerts in Italy and abroad playing with soloists as B. Huang, A. Martini, M. Fornaciari, A. Griminelli, S. Ganassi, M. Belli, U. Ughi to begin with. His debut was in 2006 at the Gasteig Philarmonie Saal and the Theatre der Jugend in Munich of Bavaria playing with M. Argerich and Anna Gourari. He performed in 2012 with I Virtuosi Italiani at the Maffeiana Hall in Verona starting a frienship that has lead to a Russian tour in 2014. In 2013 he was named permanent member of the Steinway Artists. He started a collaboratioship with the Berlin Ensemble – Berlin Philharmoniker soloists – in 2015 and performed at the Imola Festival “From Bach to Bartòk” and in Reggio Emilia at the “Festival dei pianisti Italiani”. In the season 2016/2017 he will appear in many concert performances with I Virtuosi Italiani, B. Servillo and in Viena performing with the Wiener Konzertverein Orchestra at the Musikverein Hall; he will record a CD-DVD album with the Camerata RCO that will be released in july 2016. Marcello Mazzoni is a piano teacher at the “A. Peri” Conservatory of Reggio Emilia, he directs the season of “Incontro alla musica” and has created a festival, “Festival dei pianisti Italiani”, which went on from 2015 with the aim of supporting classical music performing in company with well known colleagues.
